Jim founded Absolute Utilities after working on large-scale projects like the Coffs Harbour Bypass, where he identified the need for high-quality underground utility locating services combined with survey, design, and project management expertise. With Jim’s leadership and a skilled, dedicated team, Absolute Utilities is equipped to tackle all your utility needs, providing reliable and comprehensive solutions.
Jim began his career as a trainee surveyor in 2005, right after finishing school. With 20 years of experience in the civil construction industry, he has progressed to become a qualified engineering surveyor. Jim has worked on a variety of small and large-scale infrastructure projects, including public works for local councils and Transport for NSW, as well as projects with tier 1 construction companies on Pacific Highway works. He has been involved in projects from start to finish, taking on roles such as project surveyor, surveillance officer, senior surveyor, and survey manager.
In addition to his surveying expertise, Jim has been a certified utility locator for over 2 years, enhancing his utility locating experience. His background also includes 3D modeling and utility design, making him a versatile professional in infrastructure development.
